How to clear GRE?
Graduate Record Examinations or GRE is a standardised test conducted by ETS (Educational Testing Services). The GRE consists of three main sections:
1)Verbal Reasoning: 30 Minutes/30 Questions 2)Quantitative Reasoning: 40 Minutes/28 Questions 3)Analytical Writing
GRE’S scoring structure is following:
- The total (maximum) marks allotted in GRE is 340
- Sectional scores (for verbal and quantitative sections) – allotted is 170 marks (maximum) per section.
- Analytical writing assessment score is scored separately on a scale of 0-6 based on the overall impact of the essays written by the student.
Here are a few tips through which you can easily get a good score in the examination:
1) TARGET: 280+
A high target always bags you higher scores as you work accordingly. However, you always tend to score a little less than your targets. You can go through a lot of college websites and decide which is the safe range of scores that can get you into your dream institutions. 280 and above is a very good GRE score.

4) Practice Quant regularly.
The Quantitative section needs a lot of practice and precision. You can practice a lot of sums from previous year’s papers and the study materials that are given to you.
