The East Asia Study Group is a forum for discussion for PAIS academic staff and doctoral researchers on a range of issues related to East Asia. The objective of this group is to stay abreast of the latest political, social and economic developments in East Asia and allow its participants to form and share their views among peers working on the region. The meetings, since their inception in October 2007, have operated primarily on events-based discussions, though occasionally interesting journal articles or commentaries have been tabled as well.
